Neymar had initially agreed to sign the new deal back in July, but a day for an official contract signing was hampered due to his commitments with Brazil at the Rio Olympics.
And the Catalan giants have now announced the winger will finally put pen to paper on a new deal.
“Neymar will make his contract extension official on Friday 21, October at 3.00pm CET at the club offices,” a statement on the official Barcelona website said.
“As the club has already announced, the striker’s contract extension with FC Barcelona will tie him to the blaugranes until 30 June 2021.”
Reports suggest the new deal will see the 24-year-old’s release clause rise to €250 million during the final three years of the contract, while Spanish media outlets are reporting Neymar will earn €16 million a season.
The Brazillian star has gone on to score 90 goals in 149 appearances across all competitions since making the move to Spain three years ago.
